Construction Administrator

Nationally recognized as a “Best Firm to Work For” and one of the nation’s most progressive design firms, Little is seeking a strong Construction Administrator for our growing Community Studio in our Charleston, SC office..

Position responsibilities:

- As a construction administrator, the general job duties are to ensure the full, timely, and proper performance of all phases of a construction project by all contractors, suppliers, and other persons having responsibility for project work and any guarantees or warranties, providing clarifications, submittal review, recommendations for payment, preparation of change orders, check in with clients and project consultants, and other administrative services included in the agreement with the architect, landscape architect, or engineer.

- You’ll be responsible for performing QA/QC review of construction documents during and after project completion

- Through on-site observation, the CA keeps the owner informed as to the progress and quality of the construction work, and determines that the work is being performed in a manner consistent with the contract documents

- Exceptional knowledge of building codes, specifications, building systems and engineering systems.

- Communicate with all project participants, internal staff, consultants, clients, owners, contractors and jurisdictions in an effective and collaborative manner

- Maintain strong working relationships among subcontractors, suppliers, and manufacturers

Ideal candidates should have the following qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited university.

- 8+ years of experience of experience in the architecture, Engineering or Construction Management industry;

- Architectural, Engineering or Construction Management registration; SC preferred.

- Strong production skills in Microsoft, BIM 360, Newforma, and Adobe Creative Suite

- LEED accreditation or WELL building certification a plus.
