Junior Architect

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Architect to join our team. Our projects range from multi-family residential, hospitality, healthcare, and commercial buildings to urban planning, providing a rich and varied work environment.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:
- Design Development: Assist in the development of architectural designs, including drafting, modeling, and rendering, under the supervision of senior architects.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed construction documents, specifications, and drawings using CAD and BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project goals are met in terms of design, functionality, and budget.
- Research: Conduct research on building codes, materials, technologies, and environmental impact to inform design decisions.
- Client Interaction: Participate in client meetings, presenting design concepts, and gathering feedback to refine projects.
- Site Visits: Attend construction sites to review progress, ensure compliance with design specifications, and address any issues that arise.
- Sustainability: Incorporate sustainable design principles into projects, aiming for certifications like LEED or WELL Building where applicable.

Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, with a strong academic record.
- Experience: 5-6 years of experience in an architectural firm or related field. Internships or co-op experience are also considered.

Skills:
- Proficiency in architectural software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Strong understanding of architectural principles, building codes, and construction practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with clients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a team environment.
Creative problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
- Licensing: Registration as an architect is not required but working towards licensure (ARE) is expected.
